Cash for your Community

The Nottingham Post has partnered up with Nottingham Building Society to give away a whopping £35,000 to worthy causes in your community! What’s more, charities and community groups who register in time could make our shortlist and be garunteed a slice of the £25,000 dream fun. This money could mean a huge difference. Register your worthy cause fast and turn your dreams into reality.

To register your charity, buy your Nottingham Evening Post from Wednesday, April 13 2011. Cut out the registration form,  fill out your details and pop it in the post – it’s as easy as that.

Remember places are limited and we can only accept up to 200 registrations. Forms will be counted on a first-come-first-served basis.

The closing date is May 11th, 2011.

Equality Unboxed

Today sees the launch of Good Practice Toolkit on Equality and Diversity for learning providers in Adult and Community Education.  This has been produced by the WEA for LSIS in partnership with a number of organisations including bright Ideas.  The launch is part of a seminar at the ICCA in Nottingham looking at best practice and how to achieve Ofsted Grade 1 in Equality and Diversity.

Equality and Diversity Toolkit Launch

Bright Ideas are a partner organisation in this project with the WEA  and have contributed to the production of the toolkit.  The toolkit will support organsations to become an ‘excellent’ learning provider using successful Equality and Diversity practices.

The launch will feature an informed panel of recognised national speakers and practitioners in the field who will be sharing their experiences, ideas and good practice examples when acheiving an Ofsted Grade 1 in equality and diversity.
