Women Leading For A Change – an inspirational leadership course for women, by women
- How can women help others to have a voice?
- How can more women become leaders?
- Do individuals and communities have the power to change things?
- Is there power in the margins of society?
These and many other questions were explored on our Women Leading For A Change course – an inspirational course run for women, by women.
The part-time course was free to attend and was launched on the 27th October 2011 and ran til March 2012, with the majority of sessions held on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 10am to 12.45pm.
The course was designed to introduce local women from all backgrounds to the idea and possibilities of leadership – whether they wanted to take the lead in their community, start a new project, inspire others or develop themselves personally and professionally.
They learnt from real women who have made big changes to their own lives and to the lives of others – in a fun, stimulating, down to earth environment. Plus, they got to meet and learn from women from all walks of life, women just like you!
The course helped the women taking part to develop valuable skills in leadership and communication, whilst helping them to grow in confidence and discover their potential.
There were five units to choose from, which included a set of workshops and an inspirational event. Click the titles below to find out more about each unit and to read the live blog to take part in the course for yourself:
