A previous course, Women Leading for a Change was a tremendously successful and award winning leadership programme. It was led by the WEA in partnership with Bright Ideas, the Broadway Cinema and CEFET.

Now, One Nottingham is funding a programme of activities aimed at aspiring business women and entrepreneurs in Nottingham City. It is brought to you by Bright Ideas, mon0lisa, and the WEA East Midlands. The course is made up of a series of practical workshops, inspirational networking and learning events led by female entrepreneurs.
The programme will be aimed at
- Women who want to set up a new business
- Women who want to learn how to strengthen their existing business
- Women who want to explore their business potential.
- Women who want to learn new skills and confidence.
- Women who want to meet other like-minded women and expand their network.
It doesn’t matter how small or big your ideas or plans are. This programme will cover a range of business ideas – whether you want to sell products, deliver training, or offer a service. You may want to set up a social enterprise, a private business, or something else entirely.
By the end of the programme of workshops, each woman entrepreneur will have learned a wealth of new skills, and will have a basic business starter kit to launch or re-launch their new business.
There will be a number of exciting events running this September and October, please click on the links for more information:

Hi again
If you need a volunteer 2 let me know : )
I am one of the volunteers being trained and I have to say that the first 2 days have been fantastic. Informative, motivational and engaging. Can’t wait for tomorrow which is the final day. There are 16 diverse women on the training with a culmination of life, work and voluntary experiences. The women gel together as thought they have been friends before they met 2 days ago.
I can’t wait until we start planning events, it’s going to be awesome. Thanks One Nkttingham and the WEA as well as Bright Ideas Nottingham, Mon0lisa Production, 97.5 Kemet FM. We volunteers will make you proud for giving us this opportunity to shine andvshiw you just what the women of Nottingham are made off.
To the Events team and particularly the press / media and administrative I have spoken with the Boice newspaper today, and they want a press release from us about what we are doing. They are gong to put together a box of goodies fir the launch. I told them that we would mention them in our publicity. Can you please let me have this ASAP at my email address.

Bettina
