Audrian

Who are you and what is your role at Bright Ideas?

My name is Audrian Smith I worked on two projects here at Bright Ideas, Let’s get to the bottom of things, which was my baby because I was there since day one, and the Energy Squad.

When did you start working at Bright Ideas?

June 2009

What is your favourite thing about working here?

Its one big happy family, everyone here is happy to help, and everyone cheers you up when you’re having a bad day.

What do you aim to achieve in 2011 with Bright Ideas?

I am leaving as my project has come to an end in March, 22 months have flown by.

What did you do before Bright Ideas was part of your life?

I started in maternity, left that in 2002. Worked in a complimentary therapist project, helped set that up, then a health trainer, and then promoted to senior health trainer in a team of 8.

Where can you be found when you’re not in the office?

Normally at home, doing some sort of work.

What is your funniest memory or moment whilst working at Bright Ideas?

It has got to be when a volunteer walked in to the Bright Ideas office with Simon Morley.

Simon walks into the office accompanied by a Champion. He introduces him to me and Helen.

I jump up friendly and smiley as ever.

“Hello” I say, shaking his hand and asks “Are you a Bachelor? “

Helen and Simon look at each other both as if to say she’s a quick worker! The Champion beams!!

I actually meant was he related to the Bachelor family, as he looked familiar.

What are you most looking forward to in 2011?

A holiday – I’d like to go somewhere in Europe. I’d like to visit Italy, Lake Garda.

What was your best memory of 2010?

There are no favourites. They were all good memories.

Describe yourself in five words.

Confident, inquisitive, fun-loving, outgoing and cheeky.

What is your one weakness?

Not being able to say no.

What is an interesting fact about you?

I used to be a midwife.

What can you not live without?

My Bible.

If you were a colour what colour would you be and why?

I would be red, because it is my favourite colour.

What is the brightest idea you’ve had at the company?

I have had quite a lot of what Lisa calls “Tight Ideas”, I’m a tight person, I’m good at thinking of ways to save things around the office, recycling, coupons and saving postage stamps.

As you’re leaving Bright Ideas, what are your final thoughts on Bright Ideas?

It is going to be sad not coming in the office every day.
