James

Who are you and what is your role at Bright Ideas?

My name is James and I am the volunteer coordinator here at Bright Ideas.

When did you start working at Bright Ideas?

December 2010

What is your favourite thing about working here?

My favourite things about Bright Ideas are the food, people and volunteers. The overall feel and atmosphere here is great. It’s a fantastic feeling when an event is going on.

What do you aim to achieve in 2011 with Bright Ideas?

A successful and beneficial last leg of my time here at Bright Ideas.

What did you do before Bright Ideas was part of your life?

I tried graphic design; decided it was best suited as a geeky hobby.

Where can you be found when you’re not in the office?

Out and about with my friends in Nottingham, more than likely however at home getting some much needed Z’s.

What is your funniest memory or moment whilst working at Bright Ideas?

There are many funny characters in the Bright Ideas work force past and present, Karen and her crazy moments, Chris and his many antics Tani and his endearing qualities, Audrian with her toilets and Joyous moods and Dan…for being Dan.

What are you most looking forward to in 2011?

I am hoping to meet a new work force and explore the world a bit more.

What was your best memory of 2010?

The best memory is being welcomed into this vibrant community at Bright Ideas. Meeting my girlfriend is also a good one!

Describe yourself in five words.

 Always up for a laugh.

What is your one weakness?

I’ve been told I have the attention span of a “Dead nat.”

What is an interesting fact about you?

I have a great passion for music.

What can you not live without?

I could not live without my friends, family and my girlfriend. Computer games and beer come in at a close second.

If you were a colour what colour would you be and why?

My favourite colour would be turquoise because it reminds me a of a hot summer’s day cloudless sky.

What is the brightest idea you’ve had at the company?

“Is it lunch time?”

I think some bright ideas must have gone into creating the Be Inspired event from me as well as others.

As you’re leaving Bright Ideas, what are your final thoughts on Bright Ideas?

You can’t beat this place, period.  I will remember Bright Ideas and its people always.
