Who are you and what is your role at Bright Ideas?

I am Karen and my job role is personal assistant to Lisa Robinson, the director of Bright Ideas.

When did you start working at Bright Ideas?

1st April 2009.

What is your favourite thing about working here?

Gaining so much knowledge of other cultures and the sheer diversity of it all.

What do you aim to achieve in 2011 with Bright Ideas?

To continue to support developments of the company.

What did you do before Bright Ideas was part of your life?

Social work and administration.

Where can you be found when you’re not in the office?

Around and about the other various offices. When I have time off I enjoy travelling. Recently I have enjoyed finding England. I also enjoy going to the theatre as it grabs my imagination, recently I have seen South Pacific in New York and Billy Elliot on Broadway. Both were amazing.

What is your funniest memory or moment whilst working at Bright Ideas?

The launch of Champions of Change where Dan was a compere and Chris dressed up as a glamorous assistant donning a fairy outfit!!

Also the end of year gathering of 2010 we put on a pantomime which I wrote and designed for a dear friend and colleague who has now left Bright Ideas, Tanimola.

What are you most looking forward to in 2011?

Being happy, and having lots of fun!

What was your best memory of 2010?

A holiday in Barbados.

Describe yourself in five words

Very conscientious with mardy attributes.

Buying too many shoes and handbags.

What is an interesting fact about you?

I think I have an artistic streak.

What can you not live without?

Red lipstick.

If you were a colour what colour would you be and why?

A sort of nice suntan colour because it will make me feel like I’ve been somewhere hot and that makes me happy.

What is the best idea you’ve had at the company?

The Gatherings in December.

    Karen,

Loved your five word description of yourself. I laughed like a drain.

By the way a woman can never have too many pairs of shoes or handbags.
