One of our fantastic Champions of Change was selected to give away copies of one of her favourite books during World Book Night. Verity chose ‘The Life of Pi’ by Yann Martel as her book and to have an event in Nottingham Central Library to give away copies of the book to other Champions. Today sees the launch of Good Practice Toolkit on Equality and Diversity for learning providers in Adult and Community Education. This has been produced by the WEA for LSIS in partnership with a number of organisations including bright Ideas. The launch is part of a seminar at the ICCA in Nottingham looking at best practice and how to achieve Ofsted Grade 1 in Equality and Diversity.

Discussion Groups Advert by Bright Ideas Nottingham
The Let’s Get to the Bottom of Things page has just been updated with a new advert looking for people aged 60- 69 to to take part in discussion groups about the NHS bowel cancer screening programme.

Bright Ideas are a partner organisation in this project with the WEA and have contributed to the production of the toolkit. The toolkit will support organsations to become an ‘excellent’ learning provider using successful Equality and Diversity practices.
The launch will feature an informed panel of recognised national speakers and practitioners in the field who will be sharing their experiences, ideas and good practice examples when acheiving an Ofsted Grade 1 in equality and diversity.
